The coin above was given to Lance many years ago by his mother. He saved it, not knowing anything about the value of coins at the time. Then in 1995, for his birthday, Lance's wife gave him a 1945 half dollar. That peaked his interest in coin collecting and he's been collecting ever since.
Lance felt that World War II coins were especially interesting. They are still very affordable and have historic interest. He also is collecting a select set of Lincoln pennies, and also hopes to have the entire set of Susan B. Anthony silver dollars.
